The second half of day 2 covers tanking and damp membranes, you will learn how to fix the membranes and how to tank a wall what to charge etc etc

We cover damp in depth in the damp training manual but this book is more technical it covers things like, wall construction types, such as stone built walls and how to inject them, how deep to drill the holes etc its only 20 pages but packed full of helpful information, it complements the damp training manual.

GUIDE TO CONDENSATION

Although we do cover condensation in the damp training manual as condensation is a big problem, this guide is more in-depth, I do touch on it in the dampproofing training manual but this manual goes into the science of condensation.

DRY ROT AND ITS CONTROL

Never had much to do with wood I used to get other people in to carry out wood repairs and just put 10 to 20% on for myself, never felt the need to get involved as there is plenty of money in damp, there is plenty of money in wood ideal if you are a joiner or know a joiner or just do what I do and get a wood specialist in if you find wet joists or wood rot, more details are in the damp training manual.

INSURANCE APPROVAL

Insurance approved contractor status will enable you to issue 30 year guarantee’s for dampproofing and 10 year guarantee’s for tanking and cavity drainage waterproofing, these guarantee’s are recognised by local authorities, estate agents, insurance companies, property management companies, letting agents etc we will get you registered with the company as soon as you buy our course.

The most frequently asked question about insurance approval is, am I guaranteed to be accepted by the insurance company? in a word YES! bear in mind they are an insurance company and as you know they like to take our money but don't like to pay out, this company is exactly the same, they will only pay out if the job is carried out to the exact specifications as set out by the chemical company, if you do this you will never get a problem, we teach you how to do this hence the insurance company are not worried as they will only pay out if the job is carried to spec, if carried out to spec there is very little chance of a problem, if there is one its usually down to incorrect installation of the damp proof course.
